Below are some activities and ideas that we are looking for in our Economic Vitality committee.

  • Define our entrepreneurial ecosystem building efforts.

  • Needs assessments: Interview property & businesses owners to better understand their needs and identify where our common mission and goals overlap.

  • Build a network of vendors that could be potential feeder businesses into vacant buildings, subleasing opportunities, or future market vendors.

  • Research economic trends.

  • Building strong partnerships with the City of Buckley, Chamber of Commerce, and others that are vested in the economic development of downtown Buckley.

  • Provide access to resources, training, and networking opportunities to strengthen our economic resiliency (monthly or quarterly social hour at local businesses w/our local partners).

  • Buckley bucks or something similar that draws people to downtown.
