This committee takes the lead on developing assets that make downtown welcoming, engaging, and unforgettable.

Below are some activities and ideas that we are looking for in our Design committee.

  • Showcasing Heritage and culture.

  • Compiling resources for business and/or property owners that help guide internal or external building improvement projects to preserve the historic value of the building.

  • Work with the Planning Commission to modify city code to promote appealing signage, murals, and art installations that complement or showcase our heritage and culture.

  • Leverage the growth in trail and park use and install signage along the trails that promote downtown and preserve history.

  • Partner with the Foothills Historic Society to help educate and connect people to Buckley’s history, as well as support their preservation efforts.

  • Designing a wayfinding system that will help guide people through Buckley and off the hwy 410 corridor, to downtown.
